Southern Xposure Models studio was established in 2002, originally as a place for aspiring models to start their portfolio. We have since grown into a full fledged studio that allows companies and models alike to fulfill a wide range of projects. Our goal is to provide top notch professional services. Too many times we hear stories of unprofessional photographers or studios, well you can officially exhale. We are not a dating service or pick up artists. We are a professional photography studio! Your pictures should say who you are and be distinctive and not a carbon copy of everyone else.

Our staff is diverse and built to meet a wide range of needs. From photography to photo retouching to graphic design etc. Our goal is to meet your needs. Our studio and surrounding areas allow us to separate ourselves from the others. Whether you need to shoot something on the lovely beaches of Daytona or in studio with a custom motorcycle, we can meet those needs. Tell us what you need and we will make sure to design the shoot around those specifics.

Southern Xposure Models has also just expanded we now offer a full time photography studio in Daytona Beach and Fayetteville, North Carolina.  We now also are in Orlando shooting once a week,  Miami once a month and Denver, Colorado quarterly.  We hope to continue to expand into other areas soon.

Meet the owner and staff:

Born in Denver, Colorado Ahmed Almodovar moved to Daytona Beach in September of 1994 to pursue a career in Business management.  Somewhere along the way he found photography.  His career started without any professional photography training, just a guy with a camera and an eye for what he wanted.  The first step in using his talents started with SouthernXposureModels.com in November of 2005.  It was started as a place for models to launch their careers, particularly with a focus on the urban industry.  Most companies neglected this field and because of that the company grew tremendously over just three years.

Now Southern Xposure has grown by leaps and bounds.  Offices of SXM now exist in Daytona Beach, Orlando, Miami, Denver and North Carolina.  SXM has also had the privilege of working with some of the nations top model talent.  Models who used the SXM studio have gone on to be featured on BET, MTV, Maxim Magazine, Dr.Phil, Paris Hiltons BFF, Vh1, Show Magazine…the list goes on and on.

Personally Ahmed would like to thank his Mother, Step Father, family and friends for all there love and support.

Alonna “AJ” James has been a model in the urban industry for quite some time.  The lack of creative expression during her downtime between shoots left Alonna trying to find other creative outlets.  Photography was something that was never far from her mind and in early 2009 she decided to join the SXM team in photography.  Her modeling experience brings a desired element to the team.  Alonna allows for the company to have a more intimate look into how SXM can better their model/photographer relationships, give the model a better photo session, and help pick looks that are better suited for the model, all tailored to the flow of the industry.

Latysha Antuna has been around the industry for several years.  Born in Scotland, she traveled the world due to her fathers engagement to the military. For the last six years she has been modeling. Recently Latysha made the realization that her passion is more towards behind scenes, working on the creative side!  Latysha recently graduated from Joe Blasco in Advanced Beauty Make-up Artistry and now has joined the Southern Xpousure Models team.

Not only is she an artist but Latysha is very personable and a great listener. She exceeds expectations to accomplish what one wants. Latysha has the unique ability to apply what is in your head and bring it to life.  She also excels in making the models feel 100 percent comfortable with themselves which is probably the greatest asset a model can have.

A seasoned Professional Make-up Artist, Nicole Ferguson is the person behind BeautifulBrush. Originally from Maryland Nicole began her career as a cosmetologist and later relocated to Orlando, FL to further pursue her love for make-up. She is a graduate of the highly acclaimed Joe Blasco Make-up School and an Associate Member of New York’s Local 798. Nicole has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and is well diversed in every aspect of make-up and special make-up effects. Her training and expertise has awarded her with several accolades for her extraordinary make-up designs and keeps her in high demand. You can find her work published regularly in Hair Sophisticate, Diva Hair Magazine, Platform, Orlando Style, and Trendz Magazine. Nicole has also worked on numerous independent films, television, theatre, and runway shows. Nicole continues to freelance and travel with some of the world’s largest cosmetic lines launching new products. While her innovative make-up creations grace magazines and television, Nicole teaches private make-up classes to the public and aspiring Make-up Artist.
