For a client workshop, we would like to hire 5 actors to play a focus group. 4 actors would play physicians and 1 would play the moderator.
As discussed, we do not want to use real physicians, we prefer to use actors. The workshop is taking place on the 11th-12th of May in Miami. The focus group happens on the 11th. We then need three of these actors to stay for a session on the 12th. These three actors would continue to play physicians to act as sounding boards during a co-creative exercise.
The focus group on the 11th will last no more than an hour and it will be in the afternoon. However, we prefer the physicians to come in the morning to allow one final rehearsal before going live. Their intervention on the second day, on the 12th, lasts no longer than 20 min. However, we need them to come about 3 hours before to prep them.
For the focus group, actors have to be old enough to be credible as general practitioners and there should be both men and women (ideally two men and two women). The 5th actor playing the moderator can be either or.
RATES: $750 FOR ACTORS CHOSEN FOR 11th AND 12th
$600 FOR ACTORS CHOSEN FOR JUST THE 11th BUT ALL SHOULD BE AVAIL FOR BOTH RATES INCLUDE REHEARSAL FOR A FEW HOURS ON THIS SATURDAY WITH CLIENT AN ADDITIONAL 20% FOR AGENCY FEE WILL BE PAYED AS WELL THE FOCUS GROUP IS A LIVE SESSION… NOT FOR AIR AND WILL NOT BE TAPED
Andreas Why is the patient so close to the GP?
Mélanie Well, as a GP, I always try to be close to my patients. After all, what I do, the treatment, prescriptions, is for them. Moreover every patient is different, so I have to somewhat know them to provide them with the most appropriate care. I have noticed that most patients feel better and take their drugs carefully when I explain them everything and build a sense of trust between them and me.
Andreas And why is the KOL so far away then? Most of them are also cardiologists, aren’t they?
Mélanie Yes I know, but these KOLs are under pressure from the pharmaceutical industry, they are even paid to give their opinion, that is why I put him so close to the PharmaCo. To me supporting a drug and actually prescribing it is two completely different things. It is easy to say you support a drug, but to me actions speak louder than words.
Andreas Aren’t the KOLs prescribing the drug they recommend to their patients then?
Mélanie I guess they do, but normally they see only severe patients and hence their opinion is based on outcomes witnessed on such restricted patient group only. These patients are not really relevant to my practice.
Andreas And how about the guidelines?
Mélanie This is linked to what I said about KOLs. KOLs have a lot of influence on the guidelines, but as I explained before, KOLs are very close to the pharmacos. So to me these guidelines are very much influenced by the pharmacos and therefore not that credible. Actors should stick to the script but they can change the wording to make it their own, to be more natural. The only words that cannot be changed are the medical ones (e.g., hyperlipidemia, dyslipidemia, efficacious, CV risks (cardiovascular risks), LDL, LDLc…) What we want to avoid, as I had mentioned, was the overplaying.

I’m looking for a wide variety of female models of various ethnicities; age range 18-25.
I am doing my casting at Full Sail University on the 8th of MAY, 2010 from 1pm to 9pm.
The shoot is the 16th and 17th of May at Senso Supper Club on Orange ave. From 10am to 10pm both days.
There is pay for the LEAD MODELS. The theme is SEXY STAR WARS.
